Michelin Launches CrossClimate 3 & Sport Tyres: Year-Round Performance Redefined

Michelin has announced the release of its third-generation all-season tyre range: the CrossClimate 3 and the CrossClimate 3 Sport. Set to be available from July 2025, these tyres are designed to provide exceptional performance across various driving conditions, catering to a wide range of vehicles, including electric and high-performance models.

The CrossClimate 3 tyre offers a 4% improvement in wet grip and a 15% increase in service life compared to its predecessor. Available in 64 sizes ranging from 16 to 20 inches, it is compatible with internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

For drivers of sporty and high-performance vehicles, the CrossClimate 3 Sport variant provides precise handling and superior wet braking capabilities, achieving the highest wet grip rating (A) under EU regulations. It also features the 3PMSF marking, confirming its winter readiness. The Sport version will be offered in 30 sizes, from 18 to 21 inches, including the 295/35 R21 107Y dimension.

Advanced Technologies for Modern Driving Needs

Michelin's new tyre range incorporates cutting-edge technologies to meet the evolving demands of today's drivers. The CrossClimate 3 features a Thermal Adaptive Tread Compound that adjusts to varying road temperatures, ensuring optimal grip in both summer and winter conditions. Its MaxTouch Construction distributes forces evenly during acceleration, braking, and cornering, contributing to extended tread life.

The CrossClimate 3 Sport is equipped with Dynamic Response Technology, derived from motorsport, utilizing a hybrid belt of aramid and nylon for enhanced steering precision. Its V-Shape tread design, with grooves widening from the centre to the shoulder, improves water evacuation, maintaining performance even as the tyre wears.

Both tyre models are designed with electric vehicles in mind, addressing the additional weight and torque challenges these vehicles present. They are manufactured across Michelin's European plants, with the most complex designs produced in Roanne, France.

With the introduction of the CrossClimate 3 and CrossClimate 3 Sport, Michelin continues to innovate in the all-season tyre segment, offering solutions that combine safety, performance, and versatility for drivers across Europe.
