The Best Cars Coming in 2015
The beginning of a new year signals the influx of a wide range of new cars, from family saloons to head-turning supercars. No matter what your taste in cars is, or whatever car you’re looking for, 2015 is sure to bring you some tempting creations.
Land Rover Discovery Sport
A staple of the motor industry for decades, what was first a vehicle for traversing muddy woodland and farmland is now a hugely popular road vehicle across the world. The 2015 Land Rover Discovery takes inspiration from the Range Rover Evoque, with the model on display at the Geneva Motorshow sporting a bright orange colourway. Available for prices starting from approximately £32,000, you will be sure to see these dotting the roads in increasing numbers from early 2015.
British luxury motoring and the Jaguar brand are synonymous with each other, and that shows no signs of changing with the introduction of the Jaguar XE. The perfect combination of performance and luxury, the XE boasts a 2 litre engine for both petrol and diesel models, as well as a 3 litre supercharged version for those who want extra power. Available from May 2015, starting from £26,995.
A redesign of the seven year-old Mazda 2 has been long overdue, and in 2015 it is becoming a reality. Agile, beautifully designed and with a 1.5 litre SkyActiv diesel engine promising sub-90g/km emissions, the Mazda 2 offers something for everyone. There is also a 1.5 litre petrol version available, and prices are set to start around £11,000 when the car is released in early 2015.
Tesla Model X
Tesla’s Model X is an electric car that doesn’t compromise on performance or looks. Arriving with seven seats and upward-opening ‘falcon’ doors, and an incredible 17-inch high resolution touch screen on the dashboard and an electric motor that can go from 0-60 in an astonishing 5 seconds, the Model X is one of the most hotly anticipated cars of 2015. Prices will start at approximately £50,000.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
One of the most recognisable supercars in the world, the Porsche 911 packs a fierce punch from its 500bhp, 3.8 litre engine. The signature 911 body has been tweaked slightly, with larger rear vents and a monstrous rear wing, but the same familiar power and performance is still housed inside. All that power does not come cheap, however, with prices starting at approximately £125,000.
Above are just five of the most anticipated cars of 2015, but there are many more ready to roll off the production lines of manufacturers around the world.
