Continental AGBased on a test conducted by Gute Fahrt, Continental’s AllSeasonContact tyres outperform their competitors on wet roads, on dry surfaces (test conducted in Italy) and in wintry conditions (tests conducted in Sweden).
The results concluded that these tyres offered superior tread, making the drive more stable with low noise. This can be attributed to better rolling resistance compared to Continental’s competitors.
The publication Gute Fahrt endorses this tyre as an all-around better choice for drivers looking for tyres that offer a steady and safe ride in its current and previous magazine issues. The 18-inch tyre size was used on a Volkswagen Tiguan for the tests.
The AllSeasonContact tyres stand out from the crowd, as only one other competitor received the grade of “Very Good.” The other tyres only received a “Satisfactory” rating. The successful grades were based on the Auto Zeitung and AutoBIld tests.
Summer tests were conducted in addition to tests in the snow. The Continental tyre shined on these tests, which included straight and sideways hydroplaning tests, ease and luxurious feel of how the car drove (handling), and anti-lock brake system tests in wet and waterless conditions. For these summer tests, Continental’s AllSeasonContact tyres were the single best performer, receiving the rating of “Very Good.” As previously mentioned, it received this rating for overall rankings as well.
AllSeasonContact tyres represent pioneering technology amidst a large pool of recent all-season tyres. Continental updated its technology, including a composite mix of materials, tread pattern, and building design, to offer superior performance in both summer and winter. Previously, their tyres were more geared to other summer or winter conditions.
